Metallica - The Day That Never Comes

September 12th is the release day for the new Metallica record. Check out their new video above.
It's just over 8 minutes long already sounds better then St. Anger. That's already two BIG positives for the album in my books.

I received this FW email the yesterday... someone
actually put a lot of thought in to this as everything
mentioned is true! Anyone from Goderich will appreciate
this.
1. A ringer on the square was common practice, and included a beach tour
2. You actually know what is referred to as "the square"
3. You refer to Goderich as Gdot or Godrock and expect people to know what you're talking about
4. You looked forward to stag and doe "season", and couldn't wait till Wednesday to check "the paper"
5. The beer tent was the biggest event to anticipate all year long
6. The only expansion in town you really care about is Tim Horton's
7. You survived/experienced many a gravel run (just try to find someone from the city who knows what the hell you're talking about)
8. You waited in a beer store line up all the way to the road
9. You don't have to show your I.D. to buy booze because you know every single person in Goderich
10. You make a joke about the 3rd floor and people know exactly what you mean
11. You went to parties with ages ranging 14-25 and everyone's goal is to get the drunkest and "more drunk than you've ever before"
12. You know what being "storm-stayed" is
13. You have experienced more than 10 "snow days" during one high school year
14. You laughed at tourists driving the wrong way on the square, and know where the lanes are.
15. You know what the 5 points are, and what to do
16. Growing a mullet in high school was cool
17. You know what "Combat juice" is
18. You refer to our mall as "the mall"
19. You went to the the drive-in only on long weekend, but never seen one movie there.
AND LASTLY...
20. You hear the name "Culberts" and you still instantly drool :-)

For the past year I have been on a service called
Tumblr, which allowed me to easily post random bits and
pieces of things I've found on the Internet over the
past year. It's really built up, but I never really did
like the layout. The other day I downloaded a nifty
program that makes both editing and posting to my
amazing site a breeze. Enjoy!

Back when I lived in Goderich, and prior to Gmail, I
had an email account through a shitty ISP named
Hurontel. I hadn’t checked the account in about a year
and thought it would be funny to see how much Viagara
offers I had. Found this email while digging, pay
attention to the dates.

HI John,
I was recently reviewing some resumes and came across yours that was sent to us back in April 2006. We currently have a Network Support Technician vacancy and was inquiring if you would like to learn more about it.

I could not believe it, and it had been a year since she had sent it. I remembered this job when I had originally sent out 10 resumes (one of which landed me my current job). Rather then deleting/dismissing it, I replied with this:

Hi Becky,
I haven’t checked this email account in about a year, and sure enough you sent that email about a year ago… I can’t help but laugh and feel a little embarrassed… but I always make a point to reply.
I’m happily employed working in London right now and have been for the past two years. I sincerely appreciate the follow up. Hopefully you found the perfect candidate.
Again please forgive the lateness of my reply. This will know doubt be the most awkward email you receive all day.
